For more than 35 years, Trail’s End has partnered with the Boy Scouts of America to help units raise the money they need to fund programs and activities throughout the year. Along with minimizing out-of-pocket expenses for parents, the popcorn sale allows Scouts to learn valuable life lessons such as public speaking, money management and setting goals that they can work to achieve.
Seven units in the Constellation District participated in the annual popcorn fundraiser late August to mid October. The units collectively sold almost $67,000 worth of popcorn and earned $26,514 for their units! We’d like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the Scouts, parents, and of course the Popcorn Kernels in the units who made this happen!
If you are looking at funding options for your unit, consider getting involved in the 2019 popcorn sale to meet budgeting goals. It could make a difference in planning a big trip or in purchasing equipment.
If your unit decides not to sell popcorn, you can help in another way. Please make sure that Scout parents know that they can still participate in the popcorn sale. All they need to do is take orders in person or set up an online account and share the link with family and friends. Interested parents should contact the district or Popcorn Kernel, Amy Giletto at aims91280@hotmail.com for help in getting started.
